"Every child deserves the freedom to ride."
The Mission of Project Santa of the Sandhills is to improve the lives of children with the gift of a bicycle. A bicycle represents a joyful path to physical health, mental resilience, confidence, and personal independence.
Earl Wright's wish to give children bicycles for Christmas was realized in 1996 when he gave away 75 bicycles on Christmas morning in the parking lot at Bo's Foods. Since then, Earl and his team have given away over 1,000 bikes during the Christmas season. Now, after 30 years, we work throughout the year to give children and teenagers bicycles.

Our amazing team of regulars and part-time volunteers are committed to helping children. From repairing bicycles throughout the year to preparing for and working at our holiday giveaway events. Go to our Contact Us page if you have questions or want more information!
